Jenny Bratburd and National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Colleagues Publish Comment in Lancet on 2025 Roadmap to Net-Zero Pathway for Health Program

Jenny Bratburd recently published a piece in The Lancet with colleagues from the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) illustrating the urgency of charting a pathway to net-zero emissions. Authors discuss the need for transformative climate–health strategies that include new frameworks, incentives, and more nuanced metrics for success that look beyond short term economics to prioritize health, equity, and ecological sustainability. The piece also introduces the Roadmap for Transformative Action to Achieve Health for All at Net-Zero Emissions – a Commission, which the NAM is launching this week – to position health explicitly at the heart of the climate response. The Commission includes cross-sector leaders from across the globe who will explore evidence-based solutions and drive transformative systems change.

You can learn more about the Commission by visiting the Roadmap’s Program Page, or reading the full comment in The Lancet.
